My name is Christian Romani and I was born in Lucca (ìtaly) in 1971.

I came from an "artistic" family. My father teached at the Art Institute in my town and he is an Italian painter (www.pierluigiromani.com), also my mother is a teacher of art the high school.

I graduated at the Lucca's Art College in 1991 where I have acquired a good basic education artistic techniques.

 After school I traveled a lot in Italy (Roma, Milano, Torino, Bologna) and I was living in New York and Paris for a short time; in these cities I have visited museum and contemporary art's galleries in which I have explored various techniques; in this way I have got useful information about my work and I have carefully honed my artistic sensibility.

During the years I have understood my way was Fantasy\Comics; a world that always fascined me; since College's period. Studing and inspiring myself by artist I always loved (like: Frank Frazetta, Ken Kelly, Keith Parkinson, Boris Vallejio, Todd Lockwood.....and much more) I produced a group of paintings.

For my works I use traditional techniques and sometimes I tried the digital ones. With a Wacom Tablet and some specific programs as Painter, Photoshop, I realized some work, but (perhaps for my painter background) after finished a digital work it leaves to me a sense of emptiness, so I prefer a traditional techniques: Watercolor, Colored Pencil, Tempera, Acrylic, Oil, Pastels , Graphite, China....on paper\canvas.
